Signal created targeted ads for Instagram that show the personal data that Facebook collects about you and sells access to.
They were blocked.

Ah, the OpenSSL 1.1.1 advisory for CVE-2021-3450 and CVE-2021-3449 is now out officially:
@dansup novel concept
@volt4ire surprised by this stat, cats are great!
@bill good luck on the interview process!
No one should be imprisoned or executed based on secret evidence that cannot be fairly evaluated for its reliability, and the ruling in this case will help prevent that injustice.

Vanilla JS reference site continues to be one of my favorites.

When it comes to attempts by @Voatz@twitter.com to disrupt democracy with blockchain voting, “Elections are not a market, they are a public good” I tell @Chitra_Ragavan@twitter.com in @swaaymedia@twitter.com. https://swaay.com/is-secure-online-voting-too-good-to-be-true
I'm just thinking about this blog post I wrote in 2018. Because even when Twitter makes a good decision, the first sentence comes to mind: Why does the entire world have to wait on the CEO of one US company to make a decision?

@dansup congrats on the new job!
I'm finally seeing toots that have been posted more recently. I think the biggest issue around doing a root cause analysis is that I do not know where to look to see why the problem happened in the first place. My best guess is that I let my SSL cert expire and it took a while for everything to get set right after I got certbot to refresh my cert. Oh well. Glad it's working again.
Still trying to figure out federated social media. Lost in the blogosphere.
